The course provides the basic level knowledge for students to comprehend what is Nature Education and its practice and methodology. The course's methods focus on increasing children's nature relationship and positive nature experiences with sense activities, games and nature art.

The course provides more advanced methods that requires the basic understanding of Nature Education. The course focuses on the structure of nature educational sessions and knowledge, like Science Education, improving thinking skills and outdoor learning. We see creativity and art important for children's development and for that reason, we have more advanced art-based Nature Education methods and stories and dramas in this course. 

The final Nature Educator course finalizes the training and teach other learning methods, such as Multidisciplinary Learning, Phenomenon-based Learning and Garden-based Learning, that support Nature Education. Students also learn Finnish Nature and Environmental Education practices and has a broad summary that connects all the three levels of courses together,
